Alaska Airlines Credit Card 40,000 Points + $100

Have you been interesting in the Alaska Airlines credit card before? It’s my personal favorite airline credit card because the points that it earns are incredibly valuable. The best way to get value from those points are from transferring them over to some Asian airlines that offer incredible value.

Right now may be a good time to take a second look at this card, with its all time high sign up bonus.

The Offer

Up until now, the all time high sign up bonus was either 30,000 points+$100 or just 40,000 points.

Right now, if you sign up for the Alaska Airline card from Bank of America, you would be eligible for earning 40,000 points + $100. All you have to do is spend $2,000 within the first 3 months. In addition to the points and cash value, you would also receive a companion pass. Unfortunately, the companion pass is only good for a $100 fare instead of a free ticket.

If you value the Alaska Airline points at 1.8 cents per point, that would give you a value of $720. Of course, we add in the $100 to give us a total extra to give us a $820. Now of course, there’s also the companion fare but the value of that will depend on how you redeem it.

Final Thoughts

The previous all time high offer on this card was 40,000 points or 30,000 +$100. While both of these offers came with a free companion pass, this one comes with a companion pass that’s good for a $100 fare. If you think about it, the offers are worth about the same.

If you don’t have a redemption in mind for the companion fare, then getting more points +$100 would be better than fewer points. If you do have a redemption in mind, then the value of the sign up bonus varies. Either way though, you’re getting an all time high sign up bonus, with a very underrated credit card. The points of this card can be worth so much if you transfer them out and redeem them the right way.

No matter which way you look at it, the Alaska Airlines credit card is worth a look, and there is no better time than right now to get it!
