Something that always surprises me whenever I think about Amazon is just the shear number of credit cards that they offer! But they don’t even offer it from the same company! American Express is the company that runs their business credit cards, and right now they are offering an all time high sign up bonus!
The Offer
Generally, when you get approved for most Amazon credit cards, you’ll get offered some sort of gift card or credit towards Amazon; it is no different here. with the typical sign up bonus on the business cards, you’ll get a $125 gift card. However, in addition, they are now offering an extra $100 statement credit after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months outside of Amazon. That would mean that you’re getting a total value of $225!
If you do not currently have Prime membership, you would be looking at $100 gift card, and $100 statement credit. In addition, you would only earn 3% on Amazon’s service instead of 5%.
Credit Card Details
The card comes with no annual fee, and even includes Business Prime. The reward categories are listed below:
- 5% back or 90 days interest free on Amazon Business, AWS, Amazon.com and Whole Foods
- 2% at U.S. restaurants, U.S. gas stations, and wireless telephone services
- 1% every other purchase
Again, in order to get the 5%, you’ll need to already have an Amazon Prime membership. Otherwise, you’ll only be earning the 3% back.
Final Thoughts
The standard sign up bonus on this card is only a $125 gift card, which would cover Amazon Prime for a year if you want to think about it like that. The highest offer we’ve seen on this card before this offer is a $150 gift card.
With this offer, we are seeing a total value of $225. However, the big thing to keep in mind is that any spending towards the sign up bonus must be outside of Amazon. In my opinion that’s kind of a weird restriction. Still, depending on the business you’re running, $3,000 probably isn’t too hard to hit.
What do you think about this offer? If you were holding out before, would you consider getting this card now? Let us know down in the comment section below!
