Are you in need of a business card and happen to stay at Marriott hotels? This all time high sign up bonus from Marriott and American Express may be right up your alley. Keep in mind though, that this is a targeted offer.
Make sure to check your emails inboxes! This offer was sent only through email. The offer is good for 100,000 Marriott points after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months. The previous all time high offer on this card was set at 100,000 points, so already, this is not a bad offer.
However, if you also make a Marriott Bonvoy purchase within the first 6 months of having this card, you would also get a $100 statement credit.
If that wasn’t good enough for you, you also get 0% APR for 6 months. But best of all, there is no lifetime language on this offer! That means if you have gotten the bonus before, you could be eligible for the bonus again, so long as you are within the other Marriott rules. The offer expires on December 31st, 2019.
Credit Card Summary
As far as the card itself, it comes with a $125 annual fee which is not waived in the first year. For that annual fee, the reward categories include:
- 5x: Marriott
- 4x: Restaurants, U.S. gas stations, U.S. wireless telephone purchased directly from the provider, U.S. shipping
- 2x: Every other purchase
Additionally, the card comes with a free night at hotels that cost 35,000 points or less. Finally, automatic Silver Status at Marriott is given, with the ability to earn Gold by spending $35,000 within a calendar year.
Up until now, the previous best offer on this card was only 100,000 points. So in that regard, adding in the additional $100 statement credit already makes it an all time high sign up bonus. If we value the points at 0.9 cents per point (TPG) that would put this offer worth $900, plus with the additional $100, would give us a total of $1,000!
Besides the sign up bonus be worth $1,000, the really strong part about this offer is the lack of lifetime language. Depending on your situation, that would mean that you could be eligible for the sign up bonus, so long as your meet Marriott’s other restrictions, which are active on this card.
