Chase Marriott Bonvoy Boundless 100,000 Point Offer Extended to May 15th

It’s shouldn’t be a secret by this point that Marriott has combined its own program with the SPG program into the “Bonvoy” reward system. With both American Express and Chase offering credit cards, they each have their own set of cards for the new Bonvoy program. For the last few months, there have been multiple 100,000 Marriott point offers on both the American Express and Chase cards.

Originally, this deal was supposed to expire at the end of April. Then it was extended to May 2nd. Now, it looks like it’s going to expire on May 15th. Will it get extended again, or is this the offer that Marriott is going to roll with? I suppose we’ll find out on May 16th! Maybe.

The Increased Offer

Typically, this card comes with a 75,000 point bonus after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months. The increased offer is earning 100,000 points for spending $5,000 within the first 3 months.

Keep in mind there are many different restrictions on the sign up bonus for these Marriott cards. As a general rule, if you have completed a sign up bonus on an SPG card, or have completed the sign up bonus on the Marriott Rewards Premier within the last 24 months. If you have the Marriott Rewards premier card, you are also not eligible for this card.

Final Thoughts

There are a ton of restrictions when it comes to the Marriott Bonvoy cards. These restrictions are in place so that you are not doubling up on sign up bonuses.

That being said, if you are eligible for this offer, it is an increased offer by 25,000 points. Of course it requires a little bit more spending. However, with the length of time this offer has been offered, plus how many times it’s getting extended, its starting to look like this offer may not be as special. The way things are looking, it will either get increased to 100,000 points often (more likely), or this offer will become the standard offer (less likely).

Either way, we wont know for sure until after May 16th. If you are in a rush to lock in this deal, then by all means sign up for the card now! With Marriott points being worth ~0.8 cents per point, it’s still worth $800 which is pretty impressive!

What do you think about Marriott extending this offer as long as they have? Will we see an increased sign up bonus on this higher than 100k? Let us know below!
