If I’m being honest, just about all times out of 10, whenever I write something about Marriott, it seems to be some negative news. This is one of those times where I actually am happy to say this is some positive news! This good news comes in the form of an increased sign up bonus
If you apply for the Marriot Bonvoy Boundless card from Chase, you could get 100,000 points if you spend $3,000 within the first 3 months.
This Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card comes with a $95 annual fee. For that annual fee, you are earning:
- 6x at Marriott
- 2x Everywhere else
In addition to the Reward categories, there are some other benefits for holding this card. You are given automatic Marriot Bonvoy Silver Status via 15 Elite Night Credits every single year. Additionally, if you are able to spend $35,000 within a card member year, you can get upgraded to Marriot Bonvoy Gold Status.
While this 100,000 point offer has been around already, the important thing to note with the offer is the spend requirement. The original offer required a total of $5,000 spend within the first 3 months whereas this only required $3,000. At 100,000 points, and with a point value of 0.8 (TPG) that would put this sign up bonus at being worth $800. Not bad at a 26% return on your spend. When compared to the original offer of $5,000, that $800 would only give you a return of 16%.
The standard offer on the card is 75,000 points, and currently, we haven’t seen higher than 100,000 point offer. So if you were eyeing this card before, there doesn’t look to be a better time to pick it up. Just remember that you’ll need to be under 5/24 to pick it up.
What do you think about this offer? Is the lower spending requirement a big enough incentive for you to pick up the Marriott card from Chase? Let us know down in the comment section below!
