Chase Sapphire Reserve SBE Hotel Credit

After a ton of changes to its competitors, it seems like Chase is finally giving us more benefits to the Sapphire Reserve!

The News

This partnership involves the hotels that belong to the SBE portfolio. The SBE hotel brands include: Delano, SLS, Redbury, Mondrian, and Hyde hotels.

As far as the deal, anytime you use your Chase Sapphire Reserve to book hotels rooms directly through SBE, you will now receive the following benefits:

  • Fourth Night Free (4th consecutive night)
  • Free room upgrades (when available)
  • Continental Breakfast Everyday for two people
  • $30 Hotel Credit per room (to be used on food and beverages)
  • Free WiFi
  • Late Checkout (when available)

In order to qualify for these benefits, you must book directly with SBE, show your card at check in, and finally, pay the entire bill with the Reserve (checking out too). If you pay for any portion of the hotel stay with a different card, then you will not be eligible for these benefits.

Final Thoughts

When it comes down to it, the SBE portfolio is a pretty small one, at just 32 hotels. For me, living in Las Vegas, I do get easy access to both an SLS and Delano. These benefits are always nice to have, especially when there were no benefits previously. At this point in time, I would be using my Sapphire Reserve to book hotel stays anyway, so for me this is great news.

The one thing to consider is that generally these hotels can be expensive. The fourth night free and daily breakfast are always appreciated benefits if you were already planning to stay at these properties. I don’t know that I would go out of my way to book these hotels just because you get these benefits though. I would always shop around and see where the best deal lies, but that’s just me.

Have you been able to use these hotel benefits at SBE? Let us know your experience below!
