With overall spending on traveling way down, and with people being stuck at home, there aren’t very many places that people can spend their money. Luckily for credit card issuers, there is one category that just about everyone will spend their money at, and that would be at the grocery store!
Navy Federal has sent out a targeted offer to some of its cardholders via email. The offer allows the earning of 3% for purchases made at grocery stores made in between July 1st and August 31st. The spending is also capped at $2,000; that would mean it’s possible to earn about $60 in rewards through this offer.
Although this may not seem like that big of a deal, grocery store spending is something that is done by just about everyone, and it’s money that would have been spent anyway. Unfortunately, this offer is actually pretty short lived at only 8 weeks long. If you wanted to max this offer out, you would need to spend a $250 a week on grocery stores. While difficult for some, I’m sure some families go through that pretty quickly.
Even if you aren’t able to spend that much, any bit at this point helps. While there are some other cards out there that are offering a bonus for grocery store spending, this offer is great if you don’t have any of those other cards or want to earn bonus points at Navy specifically.
Are you targeted for this offer? Are you going to be using this card for groceries or a different one? Let us know down in the comment section below.
