As much as I hate to say it, there are a ton of people out there that are incredibly loyal to their car brand of choice. There have been credit cards out there for owners of Mercedes, BMW, and others. Would you be excited if I told you that Ford owners are now going to be added to that list?
The News
FNBO has launched a new co-branded credit card! This credit card is called the FordPass Rewards Visa Card
The card comes with a $0 annual fee. The card comes with a $100 sign up bonus when you spend $3,000 within the first 3 months. As far as reward categories, they are broken up as such:
- 5% at Ford Dealerships
- 3% for gas, auto insurance, tolls, parking, and dining
- 1% Everywhere Else
Additionally, there is a potential to get a $200 statement credit if you are able to spend $6,000 within a 12 month period. Finally, there is a 0% APR for 6 months at the Ford Dealership for purchases over $499.
Final Thoughts
This looks to be a pretty decent card for those of you that have a Ford, and go to the dealer frequently, or at least maintain your vehicle there. I think the reward categories are pretty nicely optimized too, with 5% back at the dealer, and 3% back for purchases that one would typically spend in relation to a car.
The other thing to note there is the $200 statement credit for spending $6,000 within a year. On one hand I can’t imagine that many people would actually go for it, but when you think about it, you never know. $200 is a pretty good deal, especially if you consider that the card does not have an annual fee.
What do you think about the new FordPass Rewards Visa card? Would you pick it up if you drive a Ford? Is there another brand you wish had its own credit card? Let us know down in the comment section below!
