Hilton offers 3 different levels of credit cards which in my opinion makes it absolutely perfect. With American Express’ once in a lifetime rule, it means that you’ll have to be pretty strategic with how you apply for cards. If you cared more about getting as many points as possible, it doesn’t make sense to apply directly for the Hilton Aspire ($450). Instead, you would have to work your way from the bottom starting with the $0 Hilton Honors card, and upgrade every so often. If you are looking to start, Hilton has got you covered with a nice little bonus.
The Offer
If you can spend a total of $1,000 within the first 3 months, you’ll earn 75,000. Additionally, you’ll receive $100 towards statement credit after your first purchase within the first 3 months.
Final Thoughts
The standard bonus on this card usually hovers around the 75k range. So getting an extra $100 is a great deal, especially because it’s a pretty easy with just 1 purchase that you would make going for the actual 75k points.
There is an additional offer hovering around out there that offers 100k points for the same $1,000 requirement. If we value the Hilton Honors points at 0.5 cents per point, that would make this offer worth $500. If we took a look a the highlighted offer of 75k + $100, that would mean that offer is worth $475. In theory the 100k offer is better, however some people may prefer to just get the $100.
The choice is up to you, though both offers aren’t too bad by any means, especially for a card with no annual fee and not too high of spend needed.
