Houzz is a remodeling and interior design company that focuses on home improvement. Recently, Houzz has announced that it will partner with Alliance Bank to create two different credit cards. One of those cards is a store credit card that can only be used with Houzz, and the other will be a full fledged credit card that can be used anywhere that MasterCard is accepted. The details for both of these cards are as follows:
Houzz Store Card
Remember, that the store card can only be used with Houzz. There is a sign up bonus of $50 when you open the card and use it for your first purchase at Houzz. The reward category on the store card includes earning 5% back on Houzz purchases.
Houzz Mastercard
Being a normal MasterCard, you will be able to use this card anywhere. There is a sign up bonus of $50 when you open the cad and use it for the first purchase at Houzz. The reward categories on store card include earning 5% back on Houzz purchases and 1% for every other purchase.
Final Thoughts
I think it goes without saying that this is one of those instances where if you spend a ton of money at Houzz, then it could maybe be worth getting 5% back on. While I see offers for Houzz on different credit cards from time to time, I don’t think you’d quite be earning 5% back using just about any credit card. That being said, without much of a sign up bonus, or really any other incentive, this card is definitely not worth a 5/24 slot.
