One of the best ways to get value from credit cards is through the use of hotel credit cards. Many of them that charge an annual fee offer a free night to make up for that fee. In many instances, the free night is worth more than the cost of the annual fee, so it’s a win all around.
With coronavirus, a lot of hotel programs with these free night certificates have been gracious enough to extend the expiration date. We’ve got some of that good news from Hyatt!
The News
Hyatt has extended their free night certificates! If yours was due to expire up to April of 2021, those free night certs have been extended out to December of 2021.
Final Thoughts
Unfortunately, my certificate is set to expire in May, so it has not been extended out, at least not yet. I’m hopeful that they will expand the extensions out at least one month, that way I can get a free night for my birthday in June! Either way, extensions like this are good news all around. Hopefully they will give us more time to actually enjoy a nice little night away from home.
