If you are eligible to join Navy Federal Credit Union, and are interested in their credit cards, now until April 30th may be your best time to sign up for the Flagship card. The flagship is Navy’s travel credit card.
The Targeted Offer
The standard sign up bonus on the card is 50,000 points for spending $4,000 within the first 3 months. The new offer, available until April 30th is an all time high sign up bonus. If you are able to spend the same $4,000 in the first 3 months, you will receive 60,000 with the new offer. The points themselves are worth about 1 cent per point, so the offer is worth about $600.
Final Thoughts
The Flagship card is Navy’s version of a travel card; earning 3x back on travel and 2x everywhere else. Even with this offer, the $49 annual fee is waived the first year. There is also great value in receiving a TSA Precheck/Global Entry credit every four years. For those of you that do not want to mess around with points, this is a great cash back travel alternative.
Becoming eligible to be a Navy Federal Member is the hard work. Once you’re in, you are able to take advantages of deals such as this one. Just keep in mind, Navy likes to hard pull credit reports. It’s very possible that they would hard pull you for joining, and then again if you apply for the card. If you’re ok with that, there isn’t a better time to sign up.
