When it comes to military related credit unions, you could argue that Navy Federal is one of the most lucrative out there. If you are eligible to join, or already a member, now may be a pretty good time to take a look at their Flagship card, which is their travel orientated card.
If you are able to spend $4,000 within the first 3 months, you would be eligible for 50,000 points. The points themselves are worth about 1 cent per point when redeemed for cash.
Outside of the sign up bonus, the card comes with a $49 annual fee, which is not waived in the first year. For the annual fee, the card earns 3x on travel, and 2x everywhere else. In addition to the points earned on the card, it comes with a Global Entry/TSA Precheck credit.
The standard sign up bonus on the card is only about 30,000 points. We have seen a few targeted offers hovering around the 60k point range. However, this is tied with the highest public offering for this card.
For those of you that are eligible for this card, it isn’t a bad credit card. It has a $49 annual fee, which is one of the cheapest options when it comes to Global Entry or TSA Precheck. Additionally, it does give you 3x on travel which isn’t bad by any means.
