PayPal and Synchrony Will Create a Venmo Card in 2020

Have you ever looked at the PayPal offered credit cards and wished you could have something like that for yourself? What if you only have a Venmo account, but don’t necessarily need a PayPal account? If you can wait until 2020, you may be in luck!

The News

It looks like PayPal and Venmo are going to…Sync up with Synchrony to create a new Venmo credit card! As of this point, we don’t really have specifics on what a potential credit card from Venmo would offer. However, what we do know is that it is expected to launch sometime in 2020.

Final Thoughts

As overlooked as it is, I’ve always thought that the PayPal owned 2% card is probably the best 2% catch all card out there. Not only does it not have any minimums, but it also doesn’t have foreign transaction fees. I would hope a card as great as this could come in the form of the Venmo credit card.

While we don’t have any details yet on what the card could be, or what it would offer, I think if PayPal is working on it, it could be something really great. I have an idea. Personally I would love if they could offer some sort of way  to not pay any fees when transferring money to people on Venmo. How realistic is something like that? Probably not that much, but one can hope, right?
