Radisson Rewards Visa Offers All Time High Sign Up Bonus

When it comes to hotel credit cards, it seems that the biggest players are Marriott, Hilton, and to a lesser extent, Hyatt. Rarely do we cover some of the other hotel chains that offer credit cards. But, it looks like Radisson is offering a sign up bonus. Not just any bonus though, an all time high sign up bonus!

The Increased Offer

Normally, the Radisson Rewards Visa will offer an 85,000 point sign up bonus for spending $3,000 within the first 3 months of signing up. With this new offer, we are seeing a 120,000 point bonus for the same amount of $3,000 spend within the first 3 months. According to TPG, these points are worth about 0.4 cents per point. That would mean that with this increased sign up bonus of 120,000 points, that would translate into $480. The return on the sign up bonus spending would therefore be 16%.

Quick Recap of the Radisson card

The card comes with a $75 annual fee. Every time you pay that fee, you’ll receive 40,000 points. For every dollar spend at Radisson hotels, you will earn 10x, and for every other purchase, you will receive 5x. Every $10,000 spent on the card, you will earn a free night, with a maximum of 3 free nights every year. Finally, this card comes with either Gold status of 15 qualifying nights towards Platinum status.

Final Thoughts

If you have been eyeing a hotel card other than the typical cards we talk about, the Radisson card may not be a bad one, especially at this time. The previous high offer was 100,000 points, so an additional 20,000 points is very much appreciated. The overall value of the new sign up bounds is $480, which isn’t too shabby.

One thing to consider is that this card is issued by U.S. bank, which can be a good or a bad thing depending on your situation. For people that open a ton of credit cards in a short amount of time, it ma be difficult to get approved. If you’re more conservative when it comes to applications, then this may be possible.
