For any book lovers out there, Affinity Federal Credit Union may have a pretty valuable card for you. While the Visa Signature card has been around for a while, it used to have an annual fee of $95 attached to it. With that gone, and the reward rates staying the same, this may be a pretty unique card that stands on its own!
Card Details
The Visa Signature card from Affinity Federal Credit Union has a sign up bonus of $200 after spending $3,00 within the first 3 months. The reward categories on the card include a 5% back for bookstores (including Amazon), 2% for restaurants, gas stations, and super markets, and 1% back for every other purchase. Finally, the card also offers cell phone insurance.
Final Thoughts
5% for any bookstore is a pretty neat category on its own. But when you consider that it also codes that way for Amazon purchases, it’s a nice little workaround for earning 5% back on Amazon without needing Prime. The card didn’t really make much sense when it had the annual fee, but with it removed completely, I think this could be a no brainer people who love books or shop at Amazon frequently but don’t want to pony up for Prime.
