UBS is making some pretty big moves in the business credit card space. They have just announced 3 new business credit cards. There is one though that is rather interesting to us, and that would be the… Visa Infinite Business card!
The News
The Visa Infinite Business card (yes, you read the correctly) looks to be the first in the United States after Visa announced late last year that they would be entering this space. Currently, here are the details:
The annual fee on the card is $550, and is not waived in the first year. The sign up bonus is 50,000 points after spending $10,000 within the first 3 months. The reward categories are as follows:
- 3x: air travel, hotel stays
- 2x: business expenses
- 1x: everywhere else
There are a few credits that the card offers which include: $550 toward any Airport Club and $350 credit for any qualifying air travel expenses. Finally, the card also comes with Priority Pass Select membership
Final Thoughts
My initial impressions seems to be that this is a killer card for any travelers out there. The card itself was cos $550 a month, but you could get that back instantly if you usually buy access to an airline club, such as United’s. Then on top of that, there is another $350 credit for qualifying air travel expenses too. Being UBS, I would imagine that it probably isn’t an easy card to get though, especially if it’s a business card.
It’s a shame that $100 Visa Infinite airline credit is no longer with us, and it didn’t make its way to business cards either. Still, this is a very strong first Visa Infinite Business card, and I hope that others will follow suit. It could even pave the way for the Business version of the Chase Sapphire Reserve too.
