Sometimes when it comes to business credit cards we can see some pretty huge offers. The unfortunate news is that sometimes those huge offers are tied behind some pretty high spend requirements. The original 100k offer on this card had a $25,000 spend requirement! That may not be hard to do for many businesses, but for some smaller businesses, that may be pretty hard to do within 3 months. It looks like United is giving those companies a bit of a break, and reducing the spend on its huge offer.
United is offering 100,000 points when total of $10,000 has been spent on the card within the first 3 months. This increased offer lass until 4/2/20
The United business card has a $99 annual fee that is not waived, for that annual fee, you’ll get:
- 2x: United, transit, gas station, office supply stores, and restaurants
- 1x: everywhere else
In addition to the reward categories, there is a $100 annual United credit after you take a total of 7 United flights valued above $100. You’ll also get a free checked bag, 25% off on inflight purchases, and 5k bonus miles every anniversary. Finally, you’ll get 2 United Club one time passes on opening and each year.
The previous best offer on this card was also 100,000 points, but required over $25,000 in spending to get those points. This offer only requires $10,000 which is a huge difference, especially for smaller businesses. In regards to that, while this may tie for all time high sign up bonus, I’d consider it better.
After United was complaining to Chase that not too many people get their cards, and instead get the Sapphire Reserve, changes like this are welcome. I feel like they’re actually stepping up their game a little bit to actually get more business. So, if you have a business with United spend, there is no better time to grab this card.
